There was a Valor player having this issue a few days before, and it was resolved in an unexpected way. I am Mystic player and I happened to come across with this Valor player at a Valor gym with 5 mons. Since the Valor gym wasn't staying long enough, I decided not to battle and let the Valor player get in. However she still couldn't get in, and tried changing the time of the phone, and eventually actually waited for 10 minutes, and it's still "under attack", even there wasn't any battle animation on the gym. So I decided to try battling one pokemon on this gym and leave, afterwards, she succeeded to add her pokemon on the gym. I would say that is some kind of a glitch...

The Gym is (not) under attack?
When I press the + button, it shows that the gym is under attack when the gym clearly is not. (no motivation for 10 mins? gj, attacker)
It usually happens when I finished fighting a gym and someone adds a defender quicker than me, but today it happens even on a gym with 5 defenders already.
The gyms were clearly NOT under attack, what is it?

There are reportedly two different bugs with this result, one client side and one server side.
The client side error happens after the gym switches colors and one player in a group adds a defender before the rest. This can be avoided by letting everyone get into the defender selection before anyone confirms the pokemon that they want to add. If someone misses this, then they can advance the time on their phone since the problem is only client side.
I don't remember what the server side error was, and can't find the previous post about it. Only remember that changing time doesn't work for it.
