"Use butter to hatch this egg"

This message supposedly came up for some people early on in the game (I personally never saw it). I haven't heard anything about it since the early days. Did anyone ever figure out what it was for, or what would cause the message to show?

I didn't have the wording exactly right, but this is how it supposedly appeared.

I know a girl who thinks of ghosts
She'll make ya breakfast
She'll make ya toast
But she don't use butter
And she don't use cheese
She don't use jelly
Or any of these
She uses Vaseline
