First wild Dragonite

After a year of playing I for the first time ever saw a wild Dragonite. When I saw it the tracker I was a little confused and it did not register in my head for a few seconds.

A little nerve racking to see it break ultra ball after ultra ball using gold raspberries on each. After about 20 tries I caught him. He is 68% iv which is not too bad for a wild one. I don't even care that his moves are not that good.

I remember my first and only wild Dragonite. That kind of thing really was exciting. I pineapples mine!

Loved the new pokestop tracker after it showed a Dragonite nearby, three blocks later a 40 IV Level 23 with Steel Wing and Dragon Pulse vacation trophy. Even powered it up to level 34 and it hung out in a friendly gym for a couple of weeks, back in the good old days of gyms.

Yeah, I am on vacation at Lake Tahoe. I have been here a few days and have not seen a single dratini so the dragonite was a huge surprise. It looks like if I bump him up to level 30 he will be just under 3000 cp and will be a gym defender.

Congrats. I have yet to see one in the wild myself. I am heading to Tahoe in a week so maybe I'll strike gold too. =)

Isn't it great to actually find one and catch it ... I've done that 5 times with dragonite and missed another 2 ..... Soon it will be as lame as they did with Tyranitar and just go to a gym raid and get one....

Funny part is you find any of these type in the wild which is insanely rare yet there IV is absolute crap .... yet go to a Raid and basically cheat and get a high IV one .... makes no sense! NIANTIC employees are donkeys!
