Team for soloing Machamp
I've read many posts that soloing Machamp is easy (without Dynamic Punch, that move really packs a punch).
So I want to make a team that can beat Machamp.
IVs are ATT/DEF/STA.
Below level 30:
1: Alakazam IV 100 15/15/15 PC/DG
2: Alakazam IV 91 12/14/15 PC/FS
3: Exeggutor IV 86 13/11/15 C/Psy
Level 30 or above:
1: Exeggutor IV 86 12/14/13 C/SoB
2: Exeggutor IV 91 13/14/14 ZH/SoB
3: Exeggutor IV 84 14/10/14 ZH/SoB
4: Exeggutor IV 91 13/15/13 ES/SoB
5: Dragonite IV 82 12/12/13 DB/Hu
I'm still trying to find high CP Eevees to walk and evolve to Espeons. I'm also trying to find Abra candy to evolve a level 30 IV 84 Abra.
2 more questions:
1: Should I use a charge TM on my 100% Alakazam? I've been waiting for one for quite a while.
2: Why is Solar Beam listed as one of the recommended charge moves (besides Psychic) for Exeggutor to beat a Machamp?

Abras aren't really rare in my area, I can find about 5-6 a day if I bother to hunt for them. But Abra has a very high flee rate, so I can only catch 3-4 a day.
The bigger problem now for me now is stardust. I have many other important Pokemon to power up, I can't afford to spend all my dust on my psychic army, just for a raid boss that is probably rotating in a few weeks' time.
So far, i only soloed machamp once, and lucky me it is close combat one..
I used espeon ZH/FS
Alakazam C/DG
Exeggutor 2 psychic, 1 Solar beam
Dragonite SW/DC
Used all mons win with 20 second remaining at 1st try
So beside Espeon, our team is quite similar and i think it is good enough for Machamp with Close Combat
The difference is, you have better moveset (Alakazam and Dragonite) but all my attacking team above level 30
Perhaps if you happen to meet machamp with CC you can try it first and decide whether to powerup your kazam or not ? ( assuming you are not winning at 1st try)
Due to a screw up I ended up trying machamp solo AST night it was only counter still failed but only by the slimmest margins I had to use mainly autoselect (changed a gyrados for my egg)

If I had of had time for a second try I would have spent the dust to level the alakazam up and I think it would have done it I also have a second alakazam and dt/Hu dragonite (100%) I could level but saving dust. It was very close
I have easily soloed Machamp based mostly on glass cannons. I wish I had a team of dragonites to try?. Today I used 3 Espeon and one Alakazam (mostly with future sight) and two Confusion/ Psychic exeggutors against Dynamic Punch. Team fainted at 65seconds with Machamp in red. I went back in with a SC/SB Gengar who totally resisted his fight moves and the Gengar finished him off at 20 seconds. For me the key is to never dodge.
