New egg list...
Chinchou in 10km? Seriously? Happy to see Teddiursa added to the list of 5 km as well as the gen2 starters. But still no Hundooster available in eggs?

This. Hell I want a reason to buy incubators but unless the odds have significantly changed more than it appears there is no reason.
I've spent $20 US in the last 2 1/2 weeks and done everything I want to do. I used to spend around 40-50/week especially when the kids had free time from school or events. But there's nothing to buy now worth that scale.
And once the new guys figure out that fact and learn getting stronger no longer earns you anything their spending will fall and sales may plummet. At that point we may finally get some rewarding end game type stuff for being a good trainer besides the privilege of gifting lv 15 trainers mons they couldn't otherwise earn in raids.
Another two reasons that I would add to start buying incubators a part from dust and regionals would be the introduction of breeding so you can get mon with a higher iv and even legacy moves from their parents and/or making them hatch at a higher level for higher level trainers, for example if you are 30 you get level 20 eggs, but if you are level 35 you get level 25 eggs, this way you would want to hatch them because they would save dust and candies uppon evolving and powering up.
They could do ton of things to make incubators worth it again, but moving mon from 10k to 5k and adding new useless ones to the 10k pool like Chinchou is not the correct decision for me, there are like 10 species that should be completely removed from eggs imo, looking at you for example Goldeen.
I guess we will see more changes as the money spend on raid passes goes down, and it won't be too far away because the drop rate of TM's and rare candies is going down like crazy and people does not want to raid to get a bunch of revives and 3k xp if they don't get more items most of time and even the strongest mon have seen their capture rate ridiculously decreased.
This company seems completely lost once again, the idea of raids is good, but the gym system is a joke, they do one thing good and 3 things bad each update/event.
The anniversary is a joke, a very bad joke, I see no one talking about the game making a year around me, no one remembering those first days and wanting to go back to the grind, I was planning to do a small celebration at our town on the place I met most of players here, make a saturday night 8h lure party and celebrate the anniversary while catching mon and doing the raids around.
Then they make a gift box that is more expensive than the items separately and a hat pikachu...So no anniversary party.
Yes.
And a side note, here's something I've brought up in the past.
Hunting pokes in the wild has ended really. I thought that was the core of the game? Now it's just a place to get dust but not really looking for anything special. That entire aspect is non existant for most high level players now. Compared to other aspects a complete waste of time.
Totally agree, I previously refused the fact to get a GoPlus because catching mon was the main aspect of the game and did not want to level up that way or end up losing good mon because of the plus.
I got to level 37 without it but now I find myself using it more than the game itself, catching is just a dust generator, nothing else, the rest you can find it better in the raids (if you find people to do them of course, for me is very difficult but still doable some days of the week).
Why would I run to get a Machop (I saw normally only one each 2/3 weeks) when I can get a fully evolved Machamp from a raid? Better to just walk and let the plus do the grind, I don't care about good throws, I can spend berries on the gyms without deleting them and as the amount of dust is going up so slowly now they removed it from gyms I prefer to not even watch my screen while I am catching.
Yes it is pretty sad that the fitness part is going down too...That is the main reason why I play so I know that for me at least they won't change my routine, I continue to walk at least my 5km during weekdays and 10km during weekends, I just let the plus do the work most of the time while before I was more focused on hatching and doing gyms...Now the game has become purely raids and this is very dangerous...
Yep, I think most of us saw this coming with the gym change...It's nice some people can get in gyms now, but most of those could've done it with high turnover gyms anyways...and just didn't want to bother before neither...The end of most goals is the annoying part since leveling, buddy walking and egg hatching has all loss their luster...
My wife wasted her raid pass for the 1st time yesterday...(I walked to a gym and soloed a level 2)...
I think this is the start for ultra casuals to not care if the raid isn't a super great one...
It just gets me really ANGRY that the CASUALS can get all these high level Pokémon with ZERO effort. They aren't GRINDING like I was! They got BETTER Pokémon than me. It took me forever to get my 91% Machop to a Machamp. And then to get it to level 30? Forget about it! And a few weeks ago, I finally get my first Tyranitar. It took me months! And then they release these raids and now everyone is running around with them? What a BLEEPING joke!!!!
I used to be a 100% clean player, but now I'll take a look at a certain website that shows you where the level 4 raids are and what moves the Pokémon has. (I learned this from a casual at a raid last week. Thank you very much!)
I will not waste a dime on this game anymore. I wasted a nice amount of money before this update. Never again. They really SCREWED the veteran players real played with this update. You know, the veteran players who had been pouring their hard earned MONEY j to the game this entire time.
Agree with you, I do the same and check that site to go to level 4 raids only. And the probably even worse part about it is I see some many casuals saying to people that has spend time, money and effort into the game "why are you upset? It is a free to play game". No people, this is not a free to play game, WE have payed in order that you can play for free, we have payed for you and for us to play.
Niantic is not a charity, we have our rights as costumers, they have make more than a billion now in profit, and all the people that is saying don't complain for a free game will see it disappear if the players that are paying are treated like this.
If casuals get better treatment than hardcore players then the hardcore ones should stop spending money, send Niantic a message, and then we will see what happens. I would love to see Niantic against a wall, either change, listen and improve or let the game die. I want this company to feel very uncomfortable, because it seems is the only way to make them see their bad moves.
I did a solo Machamp raid yesterday. It took me about 4 tries to get the right lineup. So in about 10 mins you can get a level 20 Machamp with one of the best movesets. (Not the greatest IV's, but oh well). Remember all those topics on here about people STRUGGLING to get a double fighting Machamp? It was one of the hardest things to get!!! Now you can get it in minutes!! I wasted 3 precious TM's to get my hard earned Machamps the moveset that you see below!
(The pic below is the raid boss that i solo'd yestersay)
Get this. The original tier of rarity for a Machamp was 4/315. If we figure about 7 candies per 2K hatch that means you had to hatch roughly 1,392 eggs to hatch and evolve a Machamp. You had to roughly do the same to power it up to near level 35. That's 2,784 eggs hatched. So divide that by 3 and that's around 928 incubators (three hatches per) to do that. Less roughly 10% (the free incubator) and calling the cost about $1 per incubator a powered up Machamp cost $800. Now you can do it for around $5 and that's if you mostly buy your raid passes. Hell you can do it in a week for free.
