Bullet seed / solar beam exeggutor
Thinking of using a tm to reroll my zen headbutt / solar beam eggy to bullet seed. If my calculations are correct it's definitely higher dps against water and rock than any psychic quick move plus solar beam. I want it to counter water. Just wanted to see what others though before I reroll my legacy move even though extrasensory is marginally better than zen headbutt anyways. Thanks!

Expensive use of a TM for possible slight benefits IMO...maybe worst damage actually.
Is it maxed out? Confusion does more damage than Bullet Seed and looking at the gamepress info right now, it looks like Extrasensory does more damage too, even with the 1.4x added on top of the DPS number for Bullet Seed...
Extrasensory seems to do 50% more damage than Bullet Seed (12 vs 8) for the same cooldown.
That "50% more damage" is only against a neutral opponent, though. OP is using it to counter water. Bullet Seed does the same damage or one point less against something single weak to grass, depending on what breakpoints the Exeggutor has reached for each move. Bullet seed also generates energy faster to charge the almighty Solar Beam quicker.
Hmm, I played around with pokebattler and get a different result:
I clicked on Raid Guide...then I clicked on Vaporeon, then the Exeggutor face...I clicked on "Time to Win" sort method...
DSP of Extrasensory / Solar Beam:
Damage 552
Energy 76
Damage per Second 19.51

I change move to Bullet Seed / Solar Beam:
Damage 536
Energy 96
Damage per Second 18.94

For Zen Headbutt / Solar Beam
Damage 572
Energy 70
Damage per Second 18.57

For Completeness:
Confusion / Solar Beam
Damage 600

Pokebattler is showing Extrasensory does higher DPS than Bullet Seed even against Vaporeon...
Something off?
Trying to research a bit more for myself...but looking on old threads (post gym rework), here's dondon's opinion...Take it for whatever it's worth, but with TM drop rates so low lately (haven't gotten one in 12 days), I'd honestly keep ZH since as I've stated before, moves can change and ZH could be great again...You can raid Eggs currently for ES or BS/SoB which is a cheaper option IMO than using a Fast TM...
I have quite a few ZH/P Eggs and don't plan to swap a legacy move in case it's tweaked...(like confusion was)...

Bullet Seed and Extrasensory (and Zen Headbutt) have the same cooldown - 1100 ms.
Ultimately, Bullet Seed is better than Extrasensory by less than the margin that Extrasensory is better than Zen Headbutt. With type advantage, Bullet Seed does slightly less damage than either Extrasensory or Zen Headbutt, but gains +2 energy compared to Extrasensory and +4 energy compared to Zen Headbutt.
All in all, the difference between Bullet Seed and Extrasensory is pretty tiny. It's not something that I would recommend anyone using a fast TM over.
