Gengar- is it worth the investment to power up a second Gengar?

I already have a level 31 93% SC/Sball and I have a 98% level 20 with SC/SBomb. I am debating if I should power up to level 30 at least or slightly higher and maybe also TM move for SBall. Going forward does Gengar have Usage again the legendaries? Would it be worth the dust? I can already solo level 3 bosses now and he usually is in my lineup.

Gengar should hit the mews, lugia and celebi very hard, but if they have psychic moves gengar wouldn't survive much hits. T-tar is the best counter for those for sure, but maybe a sludge bomb one hits celebi harder than any othe mon in the game.

Yeah powering it up to 30 would certainly aid in soloing gengar and alakazam raids;

I think even though SBall does make gengar vulnerable for a longer period than sludge bomb, shadow ball is great vs alakazam and necessary vs gengar because gengar double resists sludge bomb :/ for that reason, I would leave shadow ball as is and save the Tm for another pokemon

I have both and can attest

Just to clarify- I already have a lvl 31 SC/SBall and do not plan to touch that. My question was I have a 98% SC/Sbomb lvl 20 I was asking if having another would be valuable vs legendaries I can already solo tier 3 bosses now. And maybe change Sludge Bomb to Shadow Ball.

I did a solo Machamp raid yesterday by myself and was successful because of this guy. I absolutely love my SC/SB Gengar! I started the match off with my Gengar. Look how much damage he did by himself. I do have a SC/Sludge Bomb Gengar that isn't a wonder. I'm debating whether to TM the charge move. And I got a Hex/Shadow Ball 97% IV Gengar that's going to be powered up one day.

Yes I love Gengar he plays a huge role in most of my solo tier 3- I always start him first able to easily get off 3-4 Shadow balls I just dodge all charge moves and he does massive damage!
