Is it worth the dust to power up if I do not have a good machamp to counter the raid boss?

No Vaporeon is a supreme counter over Machamp to Tyranitar.

Against Tyranitar... but what about against Lapras/Snorlax?

You mean Poliwrath I think?

I would change the quick move. Its pretty good against tyranitar and lapras

After 50+ raids no TM still.

i would find a level 30 poliwag and make it into a poliwrath to save the dust. If poliwags are rare where you are...probably still better options for your dust.
