Cross Chop Machamp

I have a good IV Machamp with Bullet Punch/Cross Chop and I'm considering using a Fast TM on it. Does anybody know why Cross Chop is described as a sub-par offensive move for Machamp? Dynamic Punch is the best charge move with 48.89 true DPS and 2.70 cooldown. Cross Chop has 49.33 true DPS and only 1.50 cooldown. Wouldn't that make Cross Chop a very good move? Does anybody know what I'm missing here?

You should concider damage, cooldown and energy needed.

Wich is to say CrC is 50+50 damage for 100 energy while DyP is 180. DPS isn't the most useful measurement for charge moves.

Cross Chop vs Dynamic Punch is actually one of the most asked questions here.
Anyway, DPS is irrelevant for charge moves. You have to consider damage per energy and overall damage too.

yep this is frequently overlooked i don't have DP but am told it is slow so the time it takes to execute represents fast moves not taken and increased chance of getting hit during a mistimed attack

She asked about counter cross chop which is A-. KC is a legacy quick move so it won't be obtained w a fast TM.

Fixed! Sorry, didn't look at ur username.

For what it's worth, I just used a TM to get counter cross chop. I plan on taking it to lvl 30 soon (already have a maxed DP one). Might end up changing cross chop way down the road but it seems serviceable and is excellent for dodging.
