How Come Rhydon is rated 9.5 on this site

The ratings as well as move grades have been updated on GamePress, for your information. While I agree that Machamp gets 10, Dragonite and Tyranitar both get 9.5, how come Rhydon gets 9.5 as well?

As a defender, Rhydon has zero value. Most Rhydon defenders can't survive a Solar Beam from Eggy and die before using charge attack.
As an attacker, it's also underwhelming. MS/Earthquake is his current best and, the only use of it is to kill electric types (and since the combo has low DPS, he barely does the job better than generalist Dragonite). But we don't see many Electric in gyms. And clearly it fails to SOLO a Flareon/Jolteon boss, while other elite specialists can succeed with their speciality. Therefore, unless Magneton is common in the gym, I would never waste a single dust on any Rhydon.
Furthermore, GamePress demonstrates its weird love for Rhydon in even more places. You can see Rhydon listed as "Supreme Counters" to many Raid bosses. But almost no one wants those bosses. And don't forget the previous Attacker/Defender Tier lists where Rhydon was the center of debate.

Although I shouldn't care too much about the Pokémon ratings, I feel Iike the need to point this out. It's ridiculous. And FYI2, Golem, the Rock specialist which is greatly useful against legendary birds, rates only at 9.

Didn't you know that a Rhydon in a gym is code for "Please take this gym cus I need coins."

Jolteon is soloable by Rhydons.

Jolteon is the hardest tier 3 raid boss to be soloed, due to the lack of weaknesses and its defense stat.

Surprised I didn't see this message...in that SR thread...

Would've been nice to see a recording...but maybe Jolteon having VS/Discharge is a plus due to hitting harder and recharging Rhydon's charge move faster...Rhydon is a tank against lightning, but time out is just too high a possibility with his slow attack...Would love to see a vid myself.

Due to Rhydon's inability.
If Rhydon is as strong as Flareon/Alakazam/Machamp as specialist, Jolteon won't be too much trouble. But he isn't.

Who takes care of Jolteon quicker? I'm not sure that the speed in which a specialist can take down the pokemon it's countering should be the sole reason for its grade. In addition to that, none of those Pokemon exactly excel at defense.

Rhydon is the best ground type by a lot. Rhydon was also the first Pokemon capable of tanking Snorlax. 9.5 might be a little high, but I would be cool with 9.

Donphan being rated 9, higher than Flareon at 8.5, is even more ridiculous.

I did want to add that I love Sandslash because of his speed. But as far as damage output Rhydon is still best. Hopefully Rhydon gets a quicker move next time they change moves

Day to day gyming means beating a 2500+ Blissey at least once. I have two 3200 Dragonites DT/H and DT/O and a 3200 Tyranitar B/C. In that matchup I have 5 times a day, I'd use one of my eight 2800-2975 Rhydons 100% of the time before a Dragonite or Tyrantitar
