PoGo Fest Speculation Team Competition

From the rumors we are likely to see legendary raids and perhaps special regional eggs or regional spawns and go fest. Based on the layout of the fest it seems like there will definitely be a competition component. Other than gaining team control of a gym before legendary raid hatching how do you foresee Niantic pitting teams against each other for some competitive fun? Also, I forsee many trainers failing to catch legendaries following raids based on my experiences with Tyranitar raids.. Thoughts?

will be fun with many weird mon, like arcanine with snarl/wild charge or some fire mon with solar beam, that'll be fun, weird but fun, for a time at least

My hope is each team's gym spawns each teams bird at some point during the event. Then, the ultimate gym spawns either Mew/Mewtwo to end the event.

Or, you'll have the opportunity to battle at your gym for extra balls.

Or or, 3 teams enter, 1 team leaves.

I don't know... I'm 2 for 2 on catching Tyranitar, and I've only caught 1 larvitar ever (never hatched 1). My dex has a hole between the two. Legendaries may be easier than you think.
