Legacy moves.

If I have a Pokemon from waaaayyyyy back before they changed movesets is it possible for that Pokemon to get his legacy move? For example I have an omastar from August, before any move changes, and he has legacy rock slide. I'm wondering if I can change his water gun with TM and he will get rock throw since he's from so far back or will he get the new move? Any research done on this?

Answers

A TM can only get you a move from the current available pool. You cannot get a legacy move, regardless of how old the Pokemon is.

I'm still happy with the rock slide though. I was just curious and was wondering if I was on to something or if I was getting too hopeful
