mid-level players, solo Muk and Wheezing

I've done most of the Tier 2 so far. Considering the change they recently made, it seems like Muk and Wheezing can now be a challenge for the mid level player around Level 30-32. I understand it depends on the counters you have, but to me these two are tough. I thought I had decent counters but still lost to a Wheezing the other day. The others were fairly easy.

Is Wheezing the hardest one?

Hmmm...interesting. I soloed them one of the first days and it was easy-peasy. I might need to try them again.

I've solo'd both of them without much trouble (level 33), but they do seem to take longer than other tier 2 bosses. The only time I got in trouble was when I went in with the auto selected team and led with a L/HB Snorlax. I kind of zoned out for too long before I realized almost half my timer was gone, and that Snorlax had done very little damage. So I switched to Rhydon and barely made it under the wire.

Both Weezing and Muk are poison types. I have not tried the former yet, but Muk I defeated always in the very last 0.5 second (I just reached level 32).

My issue is the lack of Mud Slap on Rhydon and Golem, and I replaced those options with other Pokémons with those moves. Now I realize I totally forgot about Exeggutor with psychic moves. An Alakazam was only short-lived against a few Dark Pulses. Shadow Ball on Weezing will be more dangerous against psychic types.

Level 29.One time lost to Weezing, one time won last second, won Muk with 3 mons (it was before increase of their Cp).Actually it will be easy with enough of ground types

Any double ground Rhydon will do the job for both. Golem is fine too, but is slightly less tanky. Rhydon is weak to none of Muk or Weezing's moves, and double resists their STAB moves. Rhydon also resists Weezing's Tackle as a bonus.
Don't try any psychic types. They are weak to literally all of Muk's non-STAB moves, and most of Weezing's non-STAB moves.

I think weezing is hard because many of his moves are SE against psychic Mons. If you stick to ground counters I don't think he would be so hard. I wasn't aware of that when I soloed him last week, he had infestation and dark pulse and got both my zam and espeon before they could fire one charge move. My ground counters finished him with less than 10 sec but if I started with them he would have been easy.

I maxed my Muk with Infestation and Dark Pulse to currently 2396 CP exactly for this reason, it hits the more effective attackers harder. Infestation charges faster. Of course it is not undefeatable, but I had the pleasure of dropping it in a gym I overtook, right as a car stopped by from a notorious level 39 player. He started attacking and needed 7 minutes.

Muk is worse. All non-STAB moves are SE to psychic, even legacy ones (though it doesn't matter in raids).
Literally all of his moves are SE to Exeggutor (though no one who knows about Muk's movesets will attack Muk with Exeggutor to start with, maybe some noobs might).

Depends if they have dark pulse or infestation. Makes it hard to use psychic types so rhydon is your best bet.
