Gym turned into pokestop pre raid battle.

I was 5 seconds away from battling an Eggy raid boss and it took me out of the pre-battle screen to the normal map view and the Gym was suddenly a poke stop. No more Eggy raid, no more pokemon assigned. I had a pokemon assigned and I did get it back with full health, but I did lose my raid pass. Thanks Niantic. Couldn't change this during after hours when there were no raids?

This happened about 20 minutes ago.

Isnt the raid pass only consumed after the egg hatched already and you enter the battle ? How did you lose the pass

The egg hatched. It was an Exxegutor (Eggy) raid boss. I used my raid pass, entered the battle, chose my team to fight, and 5 seconds before I was about to battle, it took me out of that screen and turned into a poke stop.

That's just wicked! ya if they wanna do that stuff do it on the off hours

Maybe the app has a secret spy function to access the phone's front camera and the guys at Niantic laughed their asses off when they saw your face..
