Tyranitar evolve/TM use question

I have a Level 23 Tyranitar - 12/13/13 - with Iron Tail/Crunch
I have a Level 20 Larvitar - 14/14/14

I have 1 fast TM and 86 Larvitar candies. Do I use the TM on the Tyranitar, get bite crunch and power him up or wait to evolve the Larvitar and see what happens?

do both! power up the ttar not too much ofc and save the candies for the other evolution

Definitely use the TM. You may not get a good moveset and it's not worth the 125 candies to evolve. You are gonna need a lot of candies (depending on ur lvl) to max out a tyranitar.

T Rex for sure , one high level B/C is better than two low level even with best moves

If there's no urgency in getting your TTar I would wait and hold off in investing in them. Gotta ask your self what does the B/C TTar do for you? Recommend getting a TTar from raids. Waiting past the anniversary event to see if there are more changes to the update. You might catch yourself a better one, if not then like everyone else has suggested, invest in your lvl 23 TTar.

Only immediate use would be for Alakazam and Gengar raids. I've done 3 Tyranitar raids and only caught one. His IVs are 73, but he has bite/stone edge. Maybe wait and see for the next month or so is the best approach.

Find my self in the exact same position. Got a 86% Rex with IT/C. Lvl 20 and a 96% larvitar lvl 20. Got 110 candies and one fast TM. No rexes from raids so far, rural.. Not enough high lvl players. I'll hit a larger city this weekend, hoping to nail a rex boss. I'll follow your advice @Life :)

What? A B/C Tyranitar is AWESOME. The general consensus used to be that B/SE was a bit better, but I don't believe that anymore. As the game progresses having same type move for fast and charged moves will be preferred on attack (may well be different for defense, but who cares about that now). Also, if you ever want to solo a level 3 Alakazam or Gengar, then B/C TTars are awesome.

My advice for waiting is for a couple reasons. First OP didn't give more information about his attack team or his resources situation. The other is because of my own personal preference, I would invest in a higher IV TTar, which not impossible to get through raids. There is no confusion on the move sets. B/C on TTar is great (although I prefer B/SE, I have both sets). And it's great for Zam and Gengar raids. But those pokes I personally am not interested in (unless OP needs Zam to get Machamp in order to have a more successful time Tier 4 vs the big 3). We know legendaries are coming out. B/SE great for birds, B/C great for Mew's. Unless OP urgently needs TTar in the line up, I personally think it's okay to wait till after the anniversary and we have more news on legendaries.
