So I used a Charged TM for the first time today, I was shocked you didn't get to choose the move! I got the move I wanted but is it random or will it give you the best move for that mon?

Random BUT it won't give you the same moveset you have. RNG will dictate its new move from its current move pool except the one you have now.

Wow,that was lucky then, I had a legacy move (Stoneedge) on a Machamp and got DP.

Awesome. Right now I have a few Pokémons I debate need TM. DT/H Dragonite and B/C Tyranitar. However they are already awesome in their own might and I guess I can settle (arguably) for 2nd best DPS but having the power to potentially change movesets to get their best DPS moves is tempting.

I'd leave both of those alone. DT/H is a nice machamp counter and is probably better than DT/O in the current raid meta. It's also nearly as good as DT/O as a generalist. B/C is also arguably better that B/SE and will be the best counter for mewtwo raids.

Nice. I'm awaiting the return of a Snorlax with Lick/ Earthquake, so it can only get better according to GP rankings.

Basically you have a 50/50 chance of getting either Hyper Beam or Heavy Slam which is better then your current charge move. Best of luck!

Im Shocked you thought you could actually pick what you wanted .

I've only used TM once.... on my 98% Snorlax... from lick earthquake to lick hyper beam.. .. so it did well but I'm sure your not always gonna get what you want

I have used two charge tm's and in both cases I got something better than what I had, but not the set I actually wanted. This is why I will only use a charge tm if I have the worst moveset and is guaranteed something better. Would never risk a wasted tm.
