Dumb question, but does STAB stack on top of SE? For example, if a fighting mon and a non-fighting mon had equal stats and the same fighting moves, would they do the same damage against a normal mon?

STAB and SE stack. That means fighting mon does x1.2 more damage.

Your question is dumb, but it made me think on another one. The STAB and SE are multiplied or added? I mean, a stab se is 1.2 + 0.4 = 1.6 or 1.2 x 1.4 = 1.68? I know se is 1.4 but 2.6 just sound ridiculous to me.

Multiplied.

And a resistance is divided by 1.4 so that the math balances out.
