A funny and reassuring finding tonight
Coming back from work, I drop a pokemon into an open gym at a small square. As soon as I wanted to go, I noticed the motivation going down. Sure enough, there was a small 90's car which had just arrived and stopped with lights on.
I let the gym almost be taken and then bicycled past the car. There were 3 young people holding phones and the driver looked 55+. The gym filled up and they left. And as I guessed... it was that handful of notorious names who dominate most of the gyms in the town!
Next time I will greet them by their avatar names :) I am actually so happy to see these people are not spoofers :D

For these ones I had doubts, since they never maintained 24/7 occupation. It's good to see it confirmed they are really hitting the streets.
But in my work city there was a team which usually came to reclaim any gym you took over within half an hour. And these are nowhere to be found anymore since the gyms came back.
