Which attackers are you leveling up for the raids?

I'm focusing on getting two different Machamp to level 30. If I catch an Eevee close to level 30, I will probably walk it and evolve it into Espeon.

As an individual who took Steelix well past 30 I can tell you he doesn't deal much damage. Its true he don't take much either.

I would only recommend using him in very large groups where DPS is a non issue so you can brag that your still on your first mom by the time others are on #3

Not taking damage means less charge moves too and a sure timeout.

Op, what are you trying to use this Steelix on?

Don't do it

it might mean less balls if you miss out on the damage done ball, last nights t-rex was on the last ball for me.

I'm almost walking a high CP, ~70ish IV eevee to turn into an espeon as well. I've maxed a PC/FS Alakazam, B/C Tyranitar, a steelix and WA/FB charizard for fun, and RT/SE golem. Had a near max exeggutor and jolteon which I maxed. Would like to get a machamp (have one maxed) and double bug scizor to lvl 30 in the next few weeks but need TMs and I've spent so much dust recently.

Since resources is scarce and I didn't participate in any raids yet ( due to the lack of gyms where I am )
I am going with end goal ( muck , snorlax , T-Rex and lapras )
I have a good ground and rock squad , two Machamp ( C /cc , C/do) all at level 30 will add more Machamp once I have TMs
My advise is to prepare for the raid boss you wanna take down

Currently working on a 100% Hitmontop. Dropped a charge TM . Now he has an optimal offensive set. Although its a controversial choice he's going to be a worthwhile addition to keep things fresh.

Really? Hitmontop? I know its a 100% rare pokemon and would be nice to have a him with the best moveset to showoff but he is kind of useless. I haven't done the math but woudn't a Poliwrath or a non STAB Counter/Close Combat like Ursa, Pinsir or Play Rough Donphan be better?

Its a novelty to be sure. That being said there are several top players in my area who were rather jealous I scored a 100%Hitmontop. Now that his Movesets ideal I see no reason not to max him.

I play for fun and its fun having unusual mons. Any dweeb can have 10 Machamps. Very few will have a 100% Hitmontop.

He will look great in gyms with my 6 shinies.

None for these raids. For anticipated legendary raids, #1 is Golem, then Tyranitar, Rhydon, and Jolteon/Exeggutor.

Jolteon over Ampharos? I am debating pushing my 93% with VS/ZC to lvl 30 maybe change to CB also.

Will Ampharos have higher damage output with VS/ZC than Jolteon with TS/Tbolt? Either way, there's a chance I'll end up working with Jolteon anyway since it's easier to come by and power up (in terms of candy).

Golem, Machamps, considering a Gengar for quick damage and Psychic boss. Otherwise, waiting for my first tyranitar to power up

I just evolved this bad boy. This site lists C/FS and PC/FS both A on attack. Is one better than the other? Thanks.

Doesn't really matter now. PC gets my vote because I tend to dodge everything but now it's straight up DPS especially when we're talking about raid bosses. C hits like a truck and PC can be spammed more often. Either way, you got a winner there buddy.

Ok, cool, thanks! I'm not the biggest fan of Confusion, tbh. I got a level 30 Alakazam w/ C/FB. It leaves you open for way too long. I have yet to use Psycho Cut. I'll definitely test it out tomorrow. I just made Abra my walking buddy. :D

Since Alakazam is sort of a glass cannon, I like to dodge charge moves from raid bosses so I can get more FSs off before fainting. So I prefer PC. But both are great.

Gonna wait until right before Go Fest to max out two Machamps, two Jolteons, two Flareons and an Ampharos. May pour some more dust into my 3 high IV Vapes as well.

Damn... probably max out both double rock Golems too.

I have powered up Machamps and just did a Houndoom...There are very few "Dark" type attackers and Dark is immune to psychic (Mewtwo)...

Don't have a Tyranitar yet...

Plan on using it also on Alakazam raids.

So far I used dust on Machamps with C/DP, Alakazam PC/FS, Espeons C/FS ZH/FS, and Dragonite DT/H. I'll be using dust on all legendary counters like Golem RT/SE, Rhydon MS/EQ, and Tyranitar B/C when I get more dust.

None. I level up for gym attacks, not raids. I'm still playing the game as I always have. Walk, collect, on occasion attack a gym, and every once in a while place a mon in a gym. Who cares if it gets booted in an hour. I get something for it. I play this game as something to do while I walk to lose weight. The new gym system is cool to me. I don't have to look at Blissey towers. Level 4 Raid... I'll pass. Level 1, ok, I'll go for it. I got skunked on a level 2 raid. Tried it twice, same boss, different mons. Then again, I'm solo, surrounded by a bunch of yellow spoofers that conquer the gyms but don't raid. And for those of you that comment about me not being able to take a level 2 boss, I have only 1 mon above 2000 cp. No Lapras, no snorlax, no tyran, no dragonite... my 2k is Vaporeon. And I spent a lot of dust to get him there.

Walking is good...downside is fighting gyms is 15-20 minutes of not walking...

After 4000+ battles, the battling also leaves a lot to be desired...

Soloing raids are "newish" so will do that till it gets dull...

Props to you for keeping at it and letting others collect their coins.

No one, you don't need good attackers for raids.
