Is it wise to build a Machamp army?
I'm currently building a Machamp army for the Snorlax, Tyranitar, & Lapras raids. Thanks to some great Machop hatches and the Machop nest in park by me, I have 3 Machamp. (This is all hard work, no Machamp raids) I also got some help from the fast and charge TM's that I received two days ago. That 2447 CP Machamp went from BP/DP to C/DP. And the 1929 Machamp went from C/HS to C/CC. I don't plan on using another charge TM on that 1929. I've seen videos and CC is very close to DP. I'm currently sitting on 47 candy. I need 4 more Machop catches to get those other two Machamp to level 30 like that first one.
I also got a 15/12/15 93% Machoke on the shelf.
Is what I'm doing wise? I'm pretty much putting all my eggs in one basket...

Update is new, they may make changes i.e. Alternate sets of raid bosses or even make changes to Machamp in future updates. He is a good investment but whatever level you're at, dust will always be scarce. Recommend invest but not use up all your resources. Give yourself room to adjust when the meta changes.

I have 4 level 30+ Machamps now...Not too many candies (60+), but still near 800k dust...
Good to go slow and see what is needed based on your experience.
I used to say get 6 of all top tier attackers, but from my experience, you will time out before you get through 6 defenders in a raid group (the one I was in vs. Snorlax maybe lower level folks though) so I think 4 is enough for me for now...I'm debating pushing them to max level, but that's very costly star dust and candy wise.
I would not focus on a single mon...It is a waste of dust just my opinion, because I am pretty sure more raid bosses will be added during time. As it is now yes, Machamp is the best investment as it is powerful for 3 of the level 4 raid bosses that anyone wants.
But as the raid system is thinked to be done with multiple players having one only Machamp maxed out is enough if you have a group to kill the raid bosses, you can complement him with other mons, for example for Tyranitar complement it with Vaporeons and Exeggutor that are more common than Machop and I think it is easier to find a high level Eevee in the wild that you don't need to spent dust in order to use in a raid.
Agree that you don't need to blow ALL your dust (why I still have 800k), but most of the bosses aren't hard so you don't need an army of most other things.
The hardest bosses are currently are Snorlax, Lapras, Tyranitar so Machamp covers all those...
All level 3 bosses can be done with 2 people easily...(even with my lagging 30 second delay phone) so when Blissey comes, Machamp will be even more key...
For the legendary like Mewtwo, get dark types (Houndoom, Tyranitar).
