I wish people would just think outside the box..

Instead of people saying "we're whining" or "complaining" or "high level crybabys" or "being toxic" because of this recent update. Maybe you should see it from our perspective or point of view instead of being so narrow minded about it. Like most people said already and I feel like a broken record repeating this, there is no motive or goals now for higher level players in the game. Maybe you lower level players have more of a motive to fill your pokedex and catch mons that's fine but once that happens then what will be your motive to play? Just to go raiding and put low cp Pokémon in a gym so it can get taken out in a day so you can get 50 coins? Thats boring and not fun regardless if you think it is. Now instead of me having to grind candy to get a tyranitar I just hope I see a level 4 raid near by and hope it's a tyranitar. Like people have said already there is zero motive to do massive egg hatches, why should I waste my 150 coins I made in 3 days on a incubator when I can just buy a raid pass for 100 coins and get a better mon? Why should I place more then 2 mons in a gym with high cp when I want them to get taken out of a gym within a day to get 50 coins and if you already made your limit of 50 coins and another mon comes back from a gym you lose more out of it useing revives and potions to heal a mon that gains you nothing since you hit your limit of coins for that day. I've also noticed people can snipe gyms easier now from you since if your battling a gym with high cp mons and if they have full motivation you have to battle it 3 times. After you battle it twice and it goes down to the 1000cp mark lower level plays sweep in and battle it once so they can claim the gym making it so the person that basically did all the work waste his time and items for someone else to claim the gym and act like they did all the work when in reality they battled it one time. There is acouple other things I could go on about but you get the point. People have there own opinions but you also need to look at it from another persons point of view. I hope this shows some insight on how certain people feel about the current state of PoGo right now.

perhaps you are the one not thinking outside the box?

Yea, i get it that halving the amount of coins per day sucks. And being gym sniped sucks too. The new rules suck getting used to, but soon they will be the norm, plus we mostly can't do anything about it. its detrimental to put high cp mons in a gym anyways - just put in disposables - when they come back you just toss them into the candy machine. I'm sure they will eventually switch up the mons in the raids, so get yours now.

Since the inception of this game, there have always been cheaters and snipers. I'm sure they could shut down the game for a month and try to figure it out, but I doubt that is financially feasible for them.

honestly, if you want to complain, then complain to niantic, not here.

My 5 disposables came back with full 50 coins, whereas my Tyranitar is still stuck for 3 days now! I love my disposables so much that I revived 3 of them

Adapting to this set up is not only lame, but took all the competitiveness out of the game. You just admitted to throwing disposables into a gym... i guess instead of competing for the best gym, we should compete for the worst? With raids giving away top tier raremons, and this gym system, competition has died, even with a fix

Why would you put in your best defenders when someone can just come in with one mon, take out the whole team and send all your defenders home after all your effort? Waste of items imo.
I can take 1 gym at 9pm and let it sit overnight until someone takes it in the morning and make the same coin and use no items other than the ones healing the mon(s) who took down the gym.

I can understand for people that spent a lot of money on perfecting the way of the old system, but its changed now (be it good or bad). There's no way they go back to that now. Your super strong mons are still good taking down gyms.

See, i understand the new way, but what i was saying is it's not competitive, which means it's not as fun, or is it "difficult" to keep up with. If the changes just kept a competitive edge to the game... honestly, there really isn't a point in teams right now. I will still put the best ones in the gyms, because at some point they will come back, and i will get coins. Plus now it pisses people off, bonus. And someone has been feeding my 2500cp Jolteon for 3days

True to a degree,we could do something about it if people voiced there opinions louder and really let niantic know how they feel about the state of the game right now. It's not that I'm complaining about the new change, I'm complaining that it's not a good change as of right now. This update also hasn't exactly been out too long so you can take that into consideration so niantic do have time to fix some tweaks within the game but if they don't decide to do so then a lot of players will get tired of how the game plays out and either quit or not play it as consistent as they would before.

Also to your last comment, this site is meant for people to post topics about PoGo either asking certain questions or how they feel about certain things with in the game. So if I feel like making a post "complaining" or stating my own opinion or concerns about the game I will do so. Maybe niantic will read this how do you know people from niantic don't look at other sites on PoGo?

Outside the box: raids don't give you a chance at the top evolution mon, but one level below.

Uhh, what is Tyranitar, Machamp, Alakazam, Exeggutor, Arcanine, Gengar....

Final evolution stages, all above...(at least up to gen 2).

I feel like they could have easily split the gyms into high level (20+) and low level gyms (10-25) to get the beginners into the gym scene. In low level gyms they could learn all about typing and battling.

For Lower level players the guys like Beedrill and Hypno might even be useful. After you level out, you are removed from the gyms, but you have a 5 level grace period to transition over to the big time.

For High level players the guys they've been building up would actual have a use still, the competition would be higher, might still have some interest.

That was needed from the start. People can play the same game at different levels. I felt the same way last fall when my 1100 CP Pidgey was my best mon and it would be shaved out in 2 hours after placement.
