Gyarados Moveset

Yesterday I evolved a Gyarados that had Dragon Tail and Outrage. Is this a good moveset?

Yup, great defending moveset. It also attacks reasonably well, even with no STAB. It is the best Kingdra counter if that is ever relevant.

I've hear that its also good Dragonite counter

It is if you have no ice Pokemon. Ice will always come out on top versus Dragonite.

It's also a good generalist moveset

Few mons resists dragon moves and Gyarados has high attack value
