Gym spin exp

Hi there, I noticed that the exp you gain from spinning a gym is far more than spinning a poke stop, and it's not a fixed number. I guess it is related with the Pokemons in the gym (number and CP) and your gym badge level. Anyone studied that or has similar experience to share?
