Solo Tier 3 Raid

Did anyone figure out a strategy to solo a Tier 3 Raid?
I came very very close to winning solo vs. a Fireblast Arcanine using a RT/SE Golem and a HP Vaporeon and I think if I had 2 strong Golems I could actually defeat him. Or maybe I should power up a Golem with EQ?

For Arcanine, have all the best mons with Earthquake, and with fast moves that are ground type too. Maybe some Rhydons with Mud Shot/ EQ. Also, make use of a Kabutops with MS/Ancient Power or Stone Edge. Though AP seems to be way faster for me since I can throw 3 in a row.

For Vaporeon, you might need the best electrics (Ampharos, Electabuzz, Magneton, not sure if Raichu would do too), and best grass (Exeggutor, Venusaur, Victreebel), maybe a few water types as backup, with non-resisted moves (Starmie maybe).

But did you actually manage to defeat them solo & before the time runs out? because that was my question

Not me but some people managed to do so with Arcanine and Vaporeon.

I was able to defeat Gengar 19700cp.
Used 4 tyranitars (3600 and 2800 B/Cr, 3500 and 3100 B/SE) and 2 dragonites 3400 DT/OUT and 3500 DB/DC.
Exact order.
Win was 20 sec before time end with last dragonite.

But did not defeat 17000cp Arcanine with 4 vapors 3100-3000 HP and AT - time ends during 4th vapor in battle.
I think, Tyranitars will be better for Arcanine too.

Short, max at 38.5 golems with rt/se and rt/eq, max rhydon with ms/se and max AT vape. 1 second left, ff/wild charge Arcanine

Vaporeon AT - yes, bs/sob exe, vw/sob venu, 2 lvl 30 jolts. Exe lvl 37.5, venu lvl 33. 20 seconds to spare.
Tried before with db/dc, dt/h, sw/o not maxed but around 33-35, plus exe and venu, time out. Didn't matter the order, I've tried with dragonites after the grasses and also with them before and grasses after.
Btw, I don't dodged once :). You need to eat the charge to load faster your charge especially for Arcanine. For Vape you can do it with dodge also.

Jolteon - vs/discharge - failed miserably, at least 40 more seconds needed, I did not had top counters. Don't know now with maxed half ground golem and rhydon. I will probably max some good iv sc/sb gengar too for it. And maybe use one fast TM on my sw/o dragonite.

Multiple tries at Machamp, got it down to 5% a few times before timing out. Lvl 30 Exeggutor, lvl 20 Espeon, lvl 20 Alakazam, lvl 34,5 Dragonite, lvl 30 Charizard and lvl 28 Dragonite. Another psychic pokémon or the lvl 20 ones lvled up and it would've worked.

Beat three level 3s fairly easily with 2 people (Alakazam, Jolt, Vap), but attempted 2 others solo and I failed (Machamp, Gengar)

I was thinking that T-Tar would be the best counter for gengar, but I only have one high level T-Tar because one had FB and the other I just recently hatched.

Problem solved - thanks to TM and magic candy, I now have two additional Level 30 t-tar with Bite/Crunch and Bite/Stone Edge.

What about a high Xatu? I used to use him to prestige against Machamps and he would crush him

I haven't personally tried it yet, so take this with a grain of salt but I think Xatu might be too slow. Might be fine with one or two other people attacking, but probably not alone. Which is a bummer cuz I got 3 Lv 30 Xatus and 2 Lev 30 Slobros that crush but are soooo slow.

If you have a higher level Zam you'd probably be better off just using him with only fast moves if you don't have future sight.

My experience with higher level raids is nearly always time. I hardly ever go through all 6 guys so I'm trying to look at faster guys. I usually have 1-3 optimal counters and a hodgepodge of assorted maybes.
