Lvl 4 Raid | Snorlax

Hi there.

no question, just a brief report of my first raid.
Was walking around city to choose my first raid today.
And saw a lvl 4 raid with Snorlax with 50 minutes on the timer, it basically just hatched. So i went there. I was the first one to arrive. Within minutes about 12 ppl came along, organized, they read or chat or posted it somewhere. I just asked if they were fighting the raid too and asked if they know each other and if i could join. Not further chatting, with i was pleased with.
The fight went 3 min the most. I only lost 2 attackers before it was won.
Sad thing, i didnt get to catch the snorlax with the 6 available balls in the consecutive challange. No TM but 4 universal candies is still nice.
BTW i never caught or hatched a Snorlax yet so still counting :) Still i wasnt mad or angry, that meetup with complete strangers just stunned me.

Snorlax draws crowds. I ran to the spawn too. Unfortunately I just missed it as they defeated it. But yes. Stunned is the word. A dozen random people meeting up for a Snorlax! Hysterical

Congrats on beating that Snorlax! I just versed a level 4 Snorlax boss as well. There was 12 mins left, I decided to use my first raid pass. This one didn't go so well. There was only 4 of us. We got close but we couldn't beat it.

Snorlax, Lapris and tyranitar draws crowds problem is trying to catch them after the raid. almost impossible

My first Level 4 ever was today and was a Tyranitar on one of my own gyms. Had home field advantage and was able to beat it with a few other players. Second Level 4 I was able to do today was a Lapras.
Tyranitar ran from me but I did catch the Lapras.

What does this "home field advantage" give you? Any attack bonus or better loot?

You get extra Premier Balls which you will probably need. Out of those 12 I got for Tyranitar only 2 completely whiffed. All other 10 throws were golden berried, curve along with one of the three options. Very first throw was an excellent and it still popped out.
