My first rural raid **

In my village's only gym (41.68, 1.84). Pink egg, two ** masks. I walked to the gym a minute before egg hatching expecting to see perhaps someone else. Nobody. The egg hatched a Magmar. I joined the battle with the pass, it counted down while I tuned the team. No others joined.

I only needed my two mud/pump Omastars and a Vaporeon, and got him with 48 seconds left. The type advantage made them take little suffering even from several Flame Thrower hits.

The raid did not "temporarily return your Pokémon" so still no coins.

I had a really similar experience 1 hour ago, though it was an electabuzz instead of a magmar. And I only used a 3000 cp dragonite.

What happened after, did you get the special "raid balls" and have a chance to catch Magmar?

It gave me one Rare Candy and then it made a sum of rewards which amounted to 13 Premier Balls. Then I captured the Magmar of 1261 CP with just one such ball + rasp berry.

Not so impressed about the Rare Candy now... I just read it will turn in just 1 candy of your choice. At that rate it can take weeks before I can do anything useful with it :)
