Is there a way to find out earned coins?

When a mon comes back to you, is there a way to find out how many coins it earned? Journal shows when it needs fruit and when it comes back, but no recording of what was earned. An obvious place to put it.

Yes, I know it reports it on the popup screen. But suppose you miss it, because, you know, you have a life outside of PoGo or something? And if more than one come back, even knowing the coin gain doesn't help.

I am really pissed off. I started the GYM Rework with 3030 and now 30hs later I have 3082.

I put pokemon in 11 GYMs. 4 of them were back to me today morning. 3 tonight (those 3 pretty sure they stayed 24hs). So how come I made 52 coins???????????????????? This makes me want not to play at all anymore.. I worked a lot to put those mons and they back with just 52 coins... look 24hs*3 Pokemon is 72 coins.... so either is a bug or I don't know..

I saw a notification that said my Pokemon brought home with her 10 coins :). It was in a yellow box (can't remember exactly) and on top of the game screen.

Edited: Now you earn 1 coin per 10 minutes defending your gym. Much better for me than 1 coin per hour.
