50 coin perday whatttt?
With 50 coin/day and the dificult of dust more player will lose motivation to gym.
And
More gym will stagnan..
May be 50coin for defending and 50 coin for defeat gym will be beter.
High turn around and 100 coin/day.
How about you?

I've been pushing the "coins for attacking" thing weeks before the update in every post we've made proposing changes along with others. So you know where I stand.
In regards to dust I won't gripe much. It's out there and you can get it. It was always more easily obtained through catching and hatching anyway. Besides that a smart player will spend at least 70% less dust after this change. So I'm not going to complain about that aspect.
All of that said folks need to take a deep breath. Obviously we are in a testing phase to some extent. Y'all are going to wear out your caps lock screaming on the internet at this rate.
doing a gym rework...then the very next day totally lowering how much coin we can receive, literally halving our potential coin earnings per day compared to before... is not a very smart move really.
its going to put a sour taste in many peoples mouths in regards to the new gym system...even though its not even related to the new gym really...its just another, separate decision they decided to push through at the same time
I agree with you, however here is a different perspective.
The 50 coins/day discourages hogging all the gyms for yourself. The 20 Gyms in my area that were ran by spoofers, now has a variety of people from different teams. They ran 18/20 gyms usually and now they own only about 5/20 gyms.
They must realize the reward isn't there since 50 max coins a day pales in comparison to 100 coins and 5000 stardust a day.
I have no love for Niantic but I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit on this. I believe this is their reaction to folks wanting easy coins since the river of tears after release. So they said "well let's see how an easy to get 50 coins goes over". Bad idea? Yes. But to throw it to instant greed on a limit that could have been imposed whenever is as simple as the thinking that went into the change.
Pissing off customers won't even qualify more money anyway so if that is their logic it's junk. Not to mention giving people free stuff has been proven to increase spending.
I think this change helps casuals a lot more...lower level people can get in now and if you already got your 50 coins, you may not bother attacking simply due to time and waste of resources...
This requires constant gym attacking/putting though.
I've said many times that Pokemon Go is a casual game and will never be that strategic or skill based compared to the video or card games...
They are letting everyone get more coins to get them to want to spend money I think...
As I mentioned before the update, I think gym territories are pretty much gone since you need people to tear down your gyms to collect and allowing people to put 6 mons in and make it like a new level 10 instantly without prestige (old way) caters to casuals...
I see lots of new names in gyms, maybe they will leave after the newness dies down, but clearly, everyone is getting some coins now...
I got my max for the day, but haven't attacked any gyms since it takes so long...
This. I am seeing a lot of new names, a lot of lower level players, people actively defending. Also, if you have been able to collect 100 coins/day doing nothing just because you luckily managed to get into a stagnant gym... I believe you kinda have no right to complain, since most of players were getting like 10-30 a day. I had no problem tearing down enemy gyms, but as soon as I tore 1 or 2 down and started working on the 3rd one, one of the previously defeated gyms was all yellow/red back again. All you need now is one gym standing over night. Or 2-3 gyms surviving a longer lunch break. Most importantly I believe this makes our coin income much more fair worldwide, which was not the case before the update.
Well, the only gyms I've attacked, people were putting more stuff in and berries as well so yeah, it took a lot lot longer...
On the old prestige system, it was easier to keep people out.
Maybe it's a bug, but when you knock a blissey a few times, then someone powers it up so it's maxed out again, and stick another 2 more mons in there...all your attacks/time was wasted...
Serious answer this was...
Sorta like if you attack a full gym, knock out 5, in 5 minutes, someone puts 5 more and maxes everyone out...sucks at that point.
maybe look at it as coins per match in defense or attack (pretend that they are coming from imaginary spectators)
with the time in gym thing they could also do it as the amount of coins you earn per time unit decreases as time increases so the first 10 minutes gives you 10 coins then 5 coins per hour for a couple of hours then 1 per hour until evicted.
