Just read an article that this was actually a thing.... The CP was 1165.... 15 players took it down in less than 30 seconds. lol, reward was probably 1 rare candy.

That thing should have evolved mid raid and surprise everyone with a world of hurt.

Could you imagine? Evolve at half health and become 35k CP and full health again? Would basically waste 30 seconds good luck on that lol

Well, 30 seconds wasted, but if it gave better rewards for being defeated evolved, would probably be an interesting mechanic. Kind of like the Ditto one, although sometimes it's annoying when I was looking for a Sentret and it turned out to be that blobhead.

Yeah, someone looked at the Magikarp Raid and wondered why it was 4 Stars. Evolving would explain that, but curious of the Rewards for that 1 Star raid.

Someone on a forum said they got a rare candy and 3 golden razzberries from a karp. The IVs were below 80% though.

Another evolution mechanic aside from Magikarp having a slight chance of turning into an angry Gyarados would be a cute, fluffy little Eevee that could evolve into any of its evolutions once, randomly.

True, and the actual Eevee would actually put up a fight. might actually hit you lol

Yeah though it's just Normal type and would probably be somewhat weak. A bunch of Machamps would probably halve its HP in 30 seconds. But if it evolved into Espeon... all those Machamps are screwed.
