2.) under the Con list, I think that may have something to do with the pokemon size. WHICH I LIKE, Dragonite looked Gigantic compared to my Jolteon. But i can see your point, could barely see anything with Steelix attacking. Overall I would make this same list aswell. I may or may not get tired of the Battle screens. Are battles won the number of that pokemon battles won? or Your trainer?
Some gym/berry observations
Did my first real battle against a 6 poke gym this morning. A few pros and cons:
Pros:
1) Love the diversity in gyms now - fought a Heracross and Mr. Mime, which was fun
2) First time through, I specialized all the way - Vape vs. Rhydon, Flare vs. Eggs, Cloyster vs. Dragonite. Ursa (C/CC) vs. Snorlax. The CP decrease is enough that subsequent battles you don't need to do it as much. Took me maybe 20 minutes to take the gym down - not too bad.
3) Love that you can heal Pokes without leaving the gym. Also love you can spin the gym a few times during long battles. Helps keep you stocked.
4) I think getting hit reduces your charge bar now, so it emphasizes dodging which is a good thing in my book
5) I love, love, LOVE having a record of every gym I've ever interacted with. Gives me an incentive to visit as many as I can when I travel to fill out my world map.
Cons:
1) Was very glitchy. Game crashed twice. Also if you pick your pokemon before you heal the pokes reset, which was annoying the first time or two.
2) The size of your pokemon was a little too large for my taste.
3) While the battle load screens are cool, the fifth time through they are kind of a drag.
For berry feeding:
1) You can definitely only feed a set number of berries within a certain amount to time. Maybe 20 every 15-20 minutes. I feeding all Pokes in couple gyms but reached a point where I got "Error" and nothing would be fed. After walking around for 10-15 minutes or so, I was able to feed again.
2) Likewise, the CP gain diminishes with subsequent berries, but if you wait out the time limit that also resets.
For me, the result of this is:
1) When feeding berries I will prioritize first my own Poke, team Pokes who give a chance to get good candies (i.e. Dragonite, Blissey, T-Rex, Lapras, Snorlax).
2) The getting candy incentive is going to make the above Pokemon better defenders because other team members can get something good out of feeding them. So even though Dragonite may suck as a defender, he may stick around a bit longer than, say, Rhydon or Gary because his candies are more valuable.
Overall I really like the update. It's much more entertaining than the old system. Looking forward to trying a raid (whenever us lowly Lv32 players are allowed to participate).

But I do think overall I'm going to earn more coins under this system than with the old system. I averaged about 50-60 per day with the old system. If you spread your Pokemon out enough, you can easily earn more.
Key, I think, is making sure you don't concentrate your Pokemon in an area where they can all be kicked out once. You want a Pokemon to stay in a gym for four days and have about one get kicked out per day for your 100 coins.
Also, it seems that motivation decreases faster in well trafficked gyms (maybe by players of the opposing team spinning the gym stop)? I had five Pokemon in untouched gyms overnight and no Pokemon had less than a 50% loss in CP. Those five Pokemon collectively have about 80-90 coins earned already. And I know at least some of those gyms will be turned over this weekend. Just hope they are not all at the same time.
I also think that certain mons, Dragonite and Blissey in particular, lose CP much faster than others. My Donphan and Eggs had hardly lost anything. Vapes seems fairly slow as well. Lapras seems to drain a bit faster than some as well.
So put a slow draining Pokemon in a low traffic gym once per week and collect your 100. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Also the CP gain can reset if you wait 15-20 minutes between feedings. I fed a Dragonite a few berries and watched the CP gain decrease so I stopped, then walked around a bit and by the time I returned my first berry gave it 610CP back. Best thing to do is to hit a gym, give each poke one berry, then hit the gym again on the way back after a while.
