Could this gym update be any more cheater proof?
-gyms have 10 min timer till next Pokemon can be set (multi account)
-Pokemon can't be repeated (bliss spam)
-berries mean you need to take gyms close to home you can come back and fortify
-gym limit
-I think it's not likely people will shave gyms with multiple accounts since you have to weaken your own creature first to put another in
yes its a inconvenience but well worth the safeguard from the bulk of cheaters

Also, if they are using bots to play with multiple accounts I have to imagine it's trivially easy to code the bot such that the bot waits out the time limit while they amuse themselves doing something else.
The hardcore cheaters aren't personally catching most of their accounts' Pokemon and walking 100km a day - the bot does all that for them. I don't see why we should think that they personally participate in gym battles either.

the only way for most legits to get coins was to travel to a quiet gym and get in to try and harvest your 10 coins a day. That is no longer an option.
the limit on number of gyms you can hold is probably the best thing. But from the sounds of things the moral decay is to fast.
I would say that not being able to put another pokemon in the gym right away is not too much of an inconvenience for spoofers, since they are on their ouw couch anyway. However, it's a horrible inconvenience for anyone who does gyms together, like my husband and I. Also, feeding berries to pokemon is definitely easier for spoofers than everyone else. Shaving does less convenient, which is great, but finding gyms may also be harder now, which would encourage shaving. Overall, I don't like the new gym system.
Not gym related but they also added a "No more than 3 screen turn offs" limit it seems. Even when my phone is left to turn off every 30 minutes, if I turn it back on after each 30 minutes, the third time already gives me a "No GPS signal found" and the only way to get back is by restarting the app. Not sure if it stopped any spoofers though, they seemed to be feeding their mons even at 4 AM. I find it hard to believe these people are really at the park at that hour, feeding stuff, and there are no buildings in range of that park.
