How does Getting Coins Work Now?
My dragonite defended a gym for approximately 5 hours and got 4 coins. How does it work now? Is it like 1 coin per hour or what?

Are you serious? Before you could go out take 5 or 6 gyms or whatever and cash inmediately every day. Now there are less spots which means more competition, mon go down like 300 CP as soon as you place them and need to go back to feed them which means you most likely won't be able to maintain gyms far away from you and still get only 1coin/hour.
People will get less coins than before, almost for sure. I am not willing to travel far away from my town as before I did to get to other areas, so some places will become even more stagnant over time and players that before could get 10 coins per day won't get a single one. With the old system as I wanted to travel and explore new areas and had an incentive to do so I left my small area with 4 or 5 gyms for the low levels and local players, now I am gonna fight hard here because no way I will go everyday to feed mon to other towns.
Just got 2 coins from the only gym that is accessible to me (5km away from home). Things are getting tougher for rural and legit players. I had to wake up earlier this morning just to earn 1 more coin when cheaters can kick my Pokemon and other legit players' out at any time they want. Used to be able to collect 10 coins/day. Those days are long gone T_T
