Legacy moves after evloving?

I have an omanyte from before the moves changed, can I still have legacy moves on omastar when it evolves or will they be updated to current moves?

I thought that John Hanke said that movesets were pre determined at a press conference awhile back closer to release of the game, thats why I'm curious because I almost have the candies to evolve it, but not sure if I should wait for a better IV/CP one first.

If he said that I'd imagine he meant predetermined on spawn. Evolving should have random moves and as such you won't get the legacy moveset.

Sure thing, just dont expect an answer anytime soon unless I come across another 2 or 3 omanytes suddenly. Still need another 7 candies, and I rarely see omanyte.
