Gym Defender CP Discrepancy

I have 100% Blissey 3058 CP - placed in my first gym when system was a go (not knowing at the time I needed to immediately give it a berry to have the max cp) ... a couple hours later I was feeding berries to pump it back up, but at 2918 I could not feed anymore (message stated it was at its max) - could this be because I had not given the "immediate berry" when placing in the gym and the "immediate decrease" became it's "new max CP"? .... Have not seen this discrepancy with other mons I have placed in gyms and subsequently feed berries to.

cant give exact numbers or anything but I also noticed a similar thing with my Blissey in a gym close by to me.

Its max CP is 2900 and something. But now, its got what looks to be a full motivation meter but its CP is 2760.

Im not there now...so i cant try to feed it and see if its 'maxed' but it appears to be tbh considering the heart is full.

kinda strange and interesting.

oh, and im sure I gave it the first berry right after I placed it in the gym, so i dont think its anything to do with that.

Their cp degrades over time. The motivation is what gets them booted from the gym.

I know it degrades ... the issue is that the berries don't bring it back up to what I know the actual CP is ...

Correct. It will not be able to go all the way back up until you put him in a new gym.

My blissey max cp is about 50 less than it should be. I'm guessing it is some kind of nerf. Strange that it does not show up in our accounts.
