Oh man! I was just about to post the same exact thing!!! Soooooo many spoofers! I feel like Niantic has gyms just for spoofers and the rest are just supposed to miss out. I'm in the middle of this park with no one else around yet some how I'm "battling" a yellow spoofer who isn't even here... in a group chat with other players and they're saying the same exact thing too. This is insane right now

Its a 115 degrees today I am the only one walking around and I rarely have seen Team instinct around here. YET they control all 13 gyms with full pokemon in them. GREAT JOB NIANTIC

Yep, same obvious spoofers as before here.
The thing that will really infuriate me is if the effects of natural gym decay + battling can be mostly counteracted by feeding berries. If berries can recoup between 90-100% of motivation loss, there is nothing to stop botters from just starting berry-only accounts: accounts that do nothing except go from gym to gym feeding their other accounts' pokemon so they can just hold onto gyms forever. Even if the motivation gain isn't quite to "full", if it's high enough they can prolong things so that it takes ages to kick them out.
Why do you think they are spoofers? Just because they were first?
I see plenty of new lower level trainers who were locked out by cp system, I just wrote yesterday that this will happen.
Even thou in my area was no instinct gyms before but there was some instinct trainers and they are real persons (very likely legit).
This, plus, it's just obvious to anyone who has been watching these guys. They are the same players who magically had Tyranitars in gyms on day 1 of the Larvitar family entering the game. I actually tried to battle their bots once while they were bubblestratting a gym - not only was nobody around, but it was beyond clear from the relentless speed at which the gym was being prestiged that the prestigers were machines. I would destroy their two Gastlys in seconds and quit the battle before facing the Blissey on level 3 of the level 10 gym, then quickly repeat the same battle again and again. EVERY TIME without fail, by the time I'd re-enter the gym it would ALREADY be prestiged back up from 48000 to 50000-52000. I repeated this nonsense for 20 minutes before giving up. These guys weren't doing the prestiging, their bots were.
