Gym with 1 defender harder than before.

Scenario:
I put a blissey into a empty gym. Rival wants to take the gym.

(a) old system: Attacker battles my blissey once.
(b) new system: Attacker has to take the whole motivation of my Blissey down. The published battle video (a ursaring loses 293 of its 1383) suggests, that i now have to attack it maybe 5 times. So, are small gyms now more stable than they were before?

I was thinking about this too.

I guess so. It is probably a good reason to always drop a Blissey when you first take the gym and not something that takes less effort.

FYI to your "5 times" I am reading some strong speculation that all losses are a set 20% for motivation.

Sounds reasonable. The ursaring in video would have been 1465CP one, that already has lost some motivation waiting.

IF it works the way I wrote it in this thread, it will take 6 battles to take out ANY mon.

I beat a rival gym with one Rhydon. Battled it 5x to knock it down. Granted CP kept dropping each time so the last time was pretty easy.

Still though, fighting a blissey isn't easy.
