Ditto - again
I found my first ditto! :-)
Now I ask, too, whether it could be usefull in Gym. Some thoughts:
If it is correct, that ditto copys all moves of his opponent, while maintaining his normal-typing, he has an advantage to all types that are super-effective to self and a disadvantag to all types, that are non-effective to self.
Positiv: Ghost, Dragon
Negativ: Poison, Steel, Fire, Water,Grass, Electric, Psychic, Ice, Dark.
This way, the main targets could be are Dragonite and Gengar.
Even more interesting is ditto for training. A problem is, that you don't know exactly, how strong ditto will be, whether he is stronger or weeker than his unknown partner (<125 gym-xp or >250).
But this could be tuned when training with own PKM. I see the possibility to put ditto as defender and train-attack with a normal attacking moveset - fast quick attacks, slow, strong, easy-to-dodge-charge-attacks. This could be a really easy win, even with a weeker PKM.
I am really courious how ditto will affect arena balance, there are many scenarios to test. I am really looking forward to the fresh aspects, hopefully he will make the game more interesting.

Hello, Bruno Brezel.
As any other pokemon, Ditto's can be found from level 1 to 30 in the wild and can get up to 40.5 by powering it up. If your Ditto is level 20 and is fighting against a Dragonite, it will transform into a Dragonite level 20 and with the IVs of your Ditto. If you are battling a Dragonite that is level 18, your Ditto will be stronger than him, with the same movesets.
If you are fighting a level 20 Dragonite with your level 20 Ditto, but the opponent Dragonite has the IV of 80 and your Ditto got the 100%, your Ditto will transform into a Dragonite that has 100% of IV, so it will also be stronger than your opponents Pokémon.
By now most of the Ditto's will be weak at gyms because we still got no time to power them up. In some weeks, he may appear alot at the gyms.
Does ditto also copy the stats of the gym defender/attacker?
MAX CP 718
ATK 91
DEF 91
STA 96
These are ditto base stats, if it does copy the moves but not any of the other stats I think he does not worth to power up, I have not been able to try it myself but I have seen some videos and Ditto dies pretty fast on all of them, of course I mean once transformed into the other pokemon.
Ditto won't be a good defender due to its low CP, leaving it at the bottom. Also, it will be easy to gain a type advantage over him, as most elements deal reduced damage to its own type i.e. Water deals reduced damage to Water, etc.
It will, nonetheless, be useful as an attacker. It will be relatively easy to get candy to power it up and then it's just putting him fighting a Snorlax and you have another high CP Snorlax.
One positive impact it will have in the meta is that it will outmatch all pokemon with bad defensive movesets. Most high DPS moves for attackers deal low damage and are bad defensivelly. But are good offensively. So Ditto, by copying movesets, will penalize defending pokemon with bad defensive movesets.
As such, it will create incentives for people to have a defensive set of pokemon and an offensive set of pokemon. Not just a high CP attacker that they then leave in Gyms.
