New gym favors shaving?

If it's first in first out, then shavers will last longer in gyms? Or does it not matter if once you're in even for a minute you'd want to be kicked out to get your coins?

If being in for one minute=coins then all gyms will just have bots entering Pidgeys to have another bot auto eject it

Hell multiaccounters would just shave themselves constantly

There is a 100 coin per day limit though.

Yes the 100 coins/day limit has done a great job thus far regulating the cheaters.

I heard Lars Ulrich stopped spoofing when the 100 coins a day weren't enough to buy his kid the big passenger jet.

Holy crap, let's not bring Lars into this. May he forever burn in hell. And may Napster be King. Holy crap. Don't ever bring up that name again.

I think you no longer can just knock 1 mon out of the gym to enter and be last in so last out. My understanding is you would have to tear down the entire gym, enter in and then be first out in that situation.

You can probably still just beat the first pokemon and leave the battle though.

But you would still have to bring the pokemons motivation down to 0, so it's still an improvement from the current system.

No it is not exactly FIFO.

It is the oldest pokemon battles first then trainers can decide if they want to battle the next pokemon in lineup or quit. A pokemon in the second slot can loose all its motivation before the first pokemon in the battle line up.

The when a pokemon losses allot of battles and loose enough motivation they are kicked from the gym.

So you cant really only shave out the oldest pokemon in the gym.

...unless the owner comes and feeds a berry to only their pokemon

Players going to be banned for 10 minutes for switching accounts and shaving. Possibly longer for repeat offenders

How do they monitor that for duel devices? Everyone I've ever actually seen doing it has had multiple devices. I saw a guy with freaking 4 once.

I play with 3 at the same time. All the same account though when mass evolving and spinning stops with lucky egg

This would be great news! This could really deter multiaccount players and "teams" of rival colors.

My guess is slots don't "come back" after someone is knocked out...

You start with six, if someone loses motivation to be kicked out, that slot is permanently gone...

We'll have to see, but I haven't seen this clarified yet...

And hopefully the new code found in the APK data mine will be a way of slowing down spoofers. Max total deployed pokemon limit, which hopefully puts a limit on how many pokemon a player can have in gyms. Like, for example, 5; once you get 5 pokemon in gyms you can't put any more pokemon in gyms til one returns. We will have to wait and see

There should be a way of detecting if a spoofing app is installed, and refuse any game actions if that is the case. The same if location just zaps to too meaningful places, the gyro of the phone is not suggesting real motion, etc.

They should be able to. I mean before if you downloaded an app to check IVs that required you to be logged in to Pokemon Go to use, they would give you the notification that they have detected you are using app(s) against the TOS and to uninstall them to prevent being banned. So why are they not able to detect you have spoofing software?

They probably gave up on this method. Writing code to detect one app leads to the installation of a different app. Writing code to detect the new app leads to the creation of a 3rd app. On and on the cat and mouse game is played forever with no permanant solution. But, change the game so outside apps are of no use and you slowly make it impossible to cheat, one step at a time.

This would be quite simple by comparing the WiFi networks the player's phones can see, and maybe even checking if the phones of two players can see each other. Doesn't work if somebody isn't really at the spot, no more GPS spoofing.
