I really think DB/O is being overrated. Outrage is basically a slightly slower, somewhat more powerful dragon pulse. Although it does more damage, It will have the same drawbacks as dragon pulse, namely the long move duration and delayed damage (both of which are slightly worse than dragon pulse), which leave an attacker very exposed while the move is being launched. The beauty of DC is that it can be spammed almost with impunity.

Completely overlooked in this discussion is DB/H*, which might be the best attacking moveset of the bunch.

For defensive purposes, DT/DC is just about a perfect moveset.

If the trainer is attacking then they should be smart enough to know when using a move like OR they have to wait until the AI use their charged attack then dodge and use OR. sure they may take a hit but it will be a quick attack hit for little damage.

I have a DB/DP Dragonite, and with DP, which is slightly faster than OR, I can dodge a BS from a Snorlax, immediately launch DP, and still get hit by a second BS before the DP cooldown finishes.

Oh boy here we go again with DT/O. Let me teach you sons, I got every single moveset for Dnites. I stopped using DT/O for attacking and strictly use them for defense because it is the best defensive ms for dnites. That being said, waiting around to use outrage while the energy bar is full is WASTING DPS. Can y'all let that sink in your heads? DT/O is not the best attack MS in the current limbo meta. But who knows maybe it will be a better attacker for raids if spamming without dodging, reviving, and potioning is the way to beat a raid boss - basically straight spam DPS.

Do you have a DT/OR dragonite? If you do, I don't think you can say it is overrated. A good DT/OR dragonite is BY FAR the best attacker in the game, and also very tough on defense despite his weakness to ice.

Buahahahaha. Nope. Not even the second best. DB/DC > DT/H > DT/O. I've tested them all a billion times.

DB/DC > B/SE > DT/H > DT/O. It's the fourth best attack moveset if you throw in a Tyranitar in the mix.

What is this DT/DC BS or DB/OR? or any of the other not possible combos? just wishful thinking after the patch?

I guess the thinking is you will be able to choose legacy moves with tms, but I don't see this happening.

No, the thinking is that if you have a Dragonite with a legacy move like Dragon Claw (but with Steel Wing), then you can re-roll the quick move for Dragon Tail.

I don't know how people are confusing that they can get legacy moves with the TMs when its been stated many times the TMs just reroll the pokemon move to whats in the current pool of moves.

So no pokemon can get legacy moves unless they already have them.

I have 2 each of DT/OR and DB/DC, and I just think DT/OR is so much better. Not saying DB/DC isn't great, but DT/OR is quite simply the best in the game right now.

On defense, I have battled many Dragonites (as I know all of you have) and DT is clearly the best defensive quick move.

But I also think OR is the best charge move on defense. It hits very hard, and as a 2 bar it isn't super predictable. DC is a good defensive move, but it just doesn't hit hard enough. You can miss a dodge or 2 and still beat Dragonite.
