TMs will only give new moves only...

This was posted by Niantic George...(Niantic Support person on SR). This was the best way to handle IMO...

"Hang on. Let me test this. Update: it's random so you take a risk by using another TM.
Update 2: I misspoke. Upon some further testing, I always get a new move when using a TM."

As for "what" you can learn, I'm not sure if say, anyone can learn Confusion or Solar Beam or Dragon Tail/Outrage...

pretty sure the moves will reroll from that specific pokemons move pool. Almost like when evolving and getting a moveset...you just roll the move again as you did when you evolved it.

In otherwords, I think you will guarantee to get the other quick move that you want as there are only 2 in total, and your pokemon already has one, so you will get the other one that you want instead presumably.

and i guess a 1 in 2 chance to get the exact charge move you want, considering there are 3 and your pokemon already has the one that you currently want to roll.

So what happens if you use a TM-quick on Vaporeon? Maybe it just won't allow you to?

Oh dear.....

I have 1 perfect DB/HB dragonite and 3 DB/DP Dragonites above 95%. They are all above 3000CP

I see 4 DB/OR in the future. Pain is coming!!

My first charge TM is going to my 98% twister Gary!! There is a 3 out of 3 chance of rolling a better move!!

I've got 3 Dragonites with SW/HB. I'm so happy I held on to them. Two of them are above 90% IV's. Definitely using the TMs on these three.

I might just use the TM's on only two of them and maybe save the third Dragonite for when better moves come out?

If so, everyone gets the same movesets. The difference is the IV. I seriously thinks it sucks.
Everyone will have multiples DT/O dragonites, B/SE/C tyranitars, BlisseyZH/DG etc etc
What's the use of other low tier mons then? Everyone will just battle with the best or desirable attackers.
It doesn't make sense niantic
I think you must set a limit

...and then they do a move rebalance and make us changed them all over again.

Yes no problem. And I will just use my 100iv dragon to reroll the best moves again. No need to grind dratni anymore. All we need are high iv Pokémons. We can outplay the spoofers finally lol

I have made that exact point myself...we now have a limited numer we need to catch for any given pokemon.
...then just play the TM game.

So at the end niantic is one who suffers. No one is buying incubators anymore.

Not everyone will have the same movesets.

Legacy trainers will have DragonBreath/Outrage!!!

I am pissed becoz I have spent so much resources(candies and stardusts, time and money) on lower iv good movesets Pokémon, and now it tells me perfect iv Pokémons are all we need. Come on

Everyone is using the same movesets now to though. The only difference will be that you can retry on your very high IV pokemon.

My first quick move one will go to my Lick/BS Snorlax....time to feed him some candy.

Oh...hey...I have one of those too that I totally forgot about!

He'll have to get in line behind my 100% IV SW/HB Dragonite, though.

Then perfect DT HB dragonite can have a chance for better charge move. Perfect!
