Are these bad moves for a Charizard?

Just evolved only my second Charizard, a rare female with 98%. But I'm not impressed by the moveset.... fire spin/dragon claw. No STAB on the charge move, is that bad?

I was hoping to put her in a gym, for diversity (and just because Charizard is one of my favorite mon).

Theoretically that is a very great Defensive Set. But with the Rework coming soon I would wait to see what changes.

I'm not powering her up right now, collecting candy for a possible 3rd charizard (haha, I'm greedy).

I have a female one with 100% and that moveset :D
Dragon Claw isn't that bad. it allows for good dodging and you can nearly spam it without taking a charge move. Air Slash would be better, but even with Fire Spin you can melt through dragonites.
I put mine to 1880 and it is doing fine, it's a 100 Charizard so I don't care that much about the moveset, even if I wanted another charge move.

Fire Spin's higher raw damage and EPS makes up for being NVE to dragonite. Higher EPS also means more use of Dragon Claw, which is SE to Dragonites.

When we finaly get mega's in pokemon go you will get stab on that charge move ;)

I think the mega evolution might cause the Charizard to learn a new moveset in the battle period, and will be back to the old one after the battle.

I have that moveset also. Would have powered him up, but lacked the candies. I'm hoping it will be a great defender after the rework, now that I have the candies.
