Playing while traveling

We're planning on taking a family vacation this summer to the beach. We were planning on opening pokemon go while we are at rest areas or convenient stores along the way since we're driving (8 hours BTW). We figure with kids it'll be every hour or so that we stop. And plan on playing daily while at the beach.

We were wondering if there would be any chance of receiving a soft ban during the trip because of how far we traveled and then close the app again once we leave each place we stop?

Answers

Should be no problem. I travel daily by bus and plane over short and long distances. Experienced no problems at all. Just close the app when leaving.

No there shouldn't be any Problems. I have played while on a car trip with my family. I checked on at all the Hotels, Gas Stations, and anywhere else we stopped. And that was last summer. And no Soft or Hard bans yet.

Thanks. We only plan on opening while stopped then close it when traveling again. Just didn't know if it would make it look like maybe spoofing.

I've been traveling with family over a few thousand miles the last several days. No problems. And I don't necessarily remember to open/close the app at any particular time or location. I just play like normal.

The problem with spoofing is it doesn't triangulate your coordinates. Even if you're moving fast and far as long as you're legit the GPS knows the difference.
