Who else feels cheated?

The new update to the pokemon stats probably shouldn't bother me, but I'm pretty irked. Here I was building a team of what I thought to be perfect, now all my time investment and resource investment has been for not. Sure, some pokemon I evolved long ago are now competitors, and it's cool to see one of my favorites, alakazam, on top. But all the resources were wasted on other pokemon now useless. Not sure I want to keep going after this for fear it could happen again. Niantic, not the way to keep the game never ending. It feels more like a cop out...

I feel kind of lost looking at my Pokemon now. I'm glad they did a full rebalance. It's just a shock. Really weird seeing alakazam and rhydon in the gym down the road instead of snorlax and dragonite.

Well u should've expected some balance after all it's been dominated by mostly all the same pokemon since day 1 and now having some variety will keep it kinda fresh and working to something new now. Either change with the game or leave yourself behind.

The didn't rebalanced the game, they just changed attackers.

Defenders are going to be the same Dragonites, Snorlaxes, Exeggutors, Vapos and now some Gyarados again.

I like the change assuming it means more variety in gyms. All the gyms around me are half dragonite. It seems that all the good trainers are ones that live near a former dratini nest or did GPS spoofing.

I got hit three ways

1) Dumped a bunch of pokemon last week, that got buffed.

2) Dumped countless Jynx and Tauros without ever looking at IVs

3) Wasted tons of dust on Victreebell and Vileplume and Arcanine

I feel you bro.
exactly the same for me... dumped all of them 2 days ago. but I still think it's good to see some change. I was able to hold 6 gyms today for 5min even without all the top tier mons which is an improvement.
also love it that I got to see some variety in gyms

Well fortunately for all that feel this way the upcoming event will serve as major help, with the double Statdust.

Gyrados is the winner

I've won some and lost some. Powering up one of my Jolteons to lv30 was in retrospect a great decision. Investing in my Slowbro's less so.

It seems odd that my best defender could now be a Vaperon than was a lv29 wild caught Evee with only 'above average' IVs that I thought was just about worth the 25 candies.

Overall I'm pleased with the shake-up.

I definitely feel your pain. I've spent a LOT of candy and dust creating good Victreebels and Vileplumes to be able to take out all the Vaporeons that dominate gyms in my area. So Niantic gives Vaporeon 300 extra CP and takes 150-250 off of the big grass mons. Thanks. >:P

Well the simple fact is that for a game to progress or stay fresh, changes have to be made. Not everyone will like them. While some of the changes didn't have to be so radical,it is what it is and I'm interested to see how it goes.

The game became boring and now it got more interesting with the new CPs. Stop crying about the change. Niantic willl Make Pogo Great Again!

I am totally agree with you. I feel cheated and will play very less.

Contra:
The perfect team is destroyed.
No feeling of the strength of the Pokemon right now
The worst thing is that it could happen AGAIN! Please remember!
And just invest you time to do what you'd like!
But you can not hope what you are doing will last long.

Good to see more Pokemon in the gym, but no interest to fight against it since last update.
The pokemon in the baggage are not my pokemon anymore.

The very last thing left is to fill the pokedex.
Then wake up from this dream.....

My wigglytuff got even weaker, but my jynx was promoted to the 1000s!

PoGo is life in microcosm... you do the best you can but unexpected things happen sometimes that you can't prepare for.
I still love it!

You win some, you lose some.

I was lucky because I powered up a Golem to the max just because I liked him. Same for a near perfect Chancey, which I only powered up because I liked the look of her and I thought I could use it for training, but we always ran out of time. Chansey now looks really good!
I was unlucky because I only just cleared out my storage a few hours before the change and I chucked out a lot of stuff I now realize I should not have discarded. And like you say probably dust wasted on the big grass types.

I never played Pokemon before Pokemon Go came out but I gather that a lot of faithful Pokemon fans are not only really happy with these changes, but in fact have been asking for these changes.

We have extra dust to look forward to so maybe in a few weeks time this will not feel so bad for you anymore.

Is it me or do Niantic realy love vaporeon?
Why the CP boost?
Vaporeon was already a CP/HP beast in Gyms.

Why are grass types nerfed?

I think there is no real system behind this CP update.
Some poké with CP boost are fine (Gengar & Alakazam), but why is Blastoise, Goldduck, Victreebel & Vileplume ect. nerfed?

Indeed. I think it would have been much more interesting if Niantic had truly added more balance to the game; this could be done by buffing pokemon like Gengar, Alakazam, Rhydon, Jolteon, etc. while at the same time nerfing Dragonite, Snorlax, Lapras, and Vaporeon. I suppose what I'd ultimately like to see is a list of maybe 20 or 30 "tier 1" attackers and defenders, rather than the current system where only a handful of mons are relevant.
