I guess my Golem with Rock moves worth the power up now lol

I hatched a 91% Golem with Rock Throw/Stone Edge a few weeks ago. I remember I posted here to know if it was worth to power it up, specially to kill Dragonites.

The answer was basically no. Well, I guess I should reconsider it now, shouldn't I ?

Gyrados with Dragon pulse is doing well on Dragonite too and have more hp.

Cloyster also received a CP-buff. He's probably a much stronger counter to Dragonite (not weak to steel and double super effective rather than single).

Golem could still be worth powering up since he's much higher total CP. Maybe you only have 1 Cloyster or just want another ultra-high CP Pokemon. I'm just saying there are probably better first picks against Dragonite even if you don't have a Lapras.

A good way to kill a Dragonite is to use another Dragonite without steel wings.

i have the same one with 96% IV lvl 30 : 2484 CP

IT is quite disappointing since weak to steel wing and ice moves. Does some damages but nothing incredible.

Dragonite with DB and Gyarados with Dragonpulse better.
