Evolve or wait?

I've been waiting for months and finally I have a decent dratini to evolve.

With the hipotetycal upcoming moves changes, what to do? Evolve or not?

What if we no longer need defenders and gym play becomes all about attacking?
What if nothing really changes and max cp still matters?

We just don't know.
I'd wait, because it may change what dratini you choose to evolve.

Dragonite is a better attacker than defender in my opinion. The main reason he's popular because his high placement. No matter how much things get shaken up I can't imagine Dragonite becoming useless.

That would affect my decision as to what dratini to evolve.
A high lvl lower IV dratini vs a low lvl high IV one.

Wait one more week to see what the gym changes are. You have waited this long... what is one more week?

Personally I would go ahead and evolve. I am in a very small %, but I don't think movesets are changing again til Gen 3 or at least til they see how the rework shapes up.

i have the same dillema with Larvitar. Personnally I wait. cause the gym rework could have an impact in the (good) mooveset. For example if the gameplay fully change they could add more relevant moove
