Hatch now or wait until christmas?

IMO Snorlax/Dratini/Lapras candies > double dust so I would save eggs. No guarantee that Christmas will feature double candy event tho.

I would just go ahead and hatch them during the Thanksgiving event. Halloween was double candy, but Halloween is all about candy. No guarantee that they will do that for Christmas. Plus, you will get more eggs before Christmas.

Doesn't matter. The pokemon in the egg is set when you pick the egg up, not when it hatches (as evidenced by people hatching pokemon with legacy movesets after they'd been removed from eggs picked up earlier, and the way the egg level is based on level when you picked it up).

Edit - didn't read question, I was assuming you were referring to the gen 2 release rumored to be happening in december.
