Why you choose Valor, Mystic or Instinct?

My son and step son were already Valor, so the missus and I joined so we could all play together.
Now I play alone and when they visit they look at me weird that I still play it.
But my 5yo likes to catch stuff with me as we walk to the park/playground.

Wanted Articuno because Articuno is #1

I am Instict for a mixture of Zapados and the fact that my brother and Trainer Tips were already on yellow.

Had no clue about Pokemon lore and knew no other player at lvl 5. Choose blue/mystic since that was my favorite color in Magic the Gathering when I played it 20 years ago.

In my town the team distribution resembles a poll I saw 30 years ago about favorite colors in my country. Majority blue, somewhat less red and not that many yellows.

Anyhow, the teaming is far from optimal, since the chance you end up with locally very uneven teams is high. Ironically spoofers may actually balance that out, but I have to say that is very far from a good solution.

My grandson got me to play and he was Instinct, so I had to join him. Then I find out my son and wife were both Mystic. Oh well.

2. A couple of reasons...reading the definition or whatever, of each team, and just the word in general, I liked Instinct better than Mystic and Valor. Second, I thought if it did have something to do with the legendary birds, Zapdos is the best if comparing them against each other. I guess school and local colors played into it a little...real yellow/gold heavy.

Team Valor were generally trash talked at the time, so it was between Instinct and Mystic (plus I hate red and the name "Valor"). I chose Instinct mainly because it's the smallest team, and the name/philosophy 100% resonated with me. I chose well because Instinct is strong in my local area, and my teammates (who I never would have met any other way) are frigging awesome.

2. I was a clueless noob at level 5, teams and gyms meant nothing to me. My kids taught me to play - yes, I was that clueless - and fortunately helped me choose Mystic, even though the whole family ended up on different teams and the kids don't even play anymore.

But this team is really the perfect fit for me, and majority in the nearby small town, so I can get and stay in gyms. Blue is also my favorite color and Articuno is awesome!

Valor, only because my daughter introduced me and had decided already and that I had to be valor too! As seems a common thread here, I'm the only one still playing. I was going to join instinct if I remember rightly, at the time. Not bothered now, especially since an ace red player justices back into town lol

Mystic, because blue is my favourite colour and I like the emphasis on analysis/wisdom.

- All my friends were team mystic when the game launched. We were planning to do gym raids together, but now I'm actually the only one playing kind off actively. So that might not happen :(

Valor
My biggest child favourite colour is red, so I had too :). Otherwise I would have chosen Mystic based on colour.
But I don't regret, since than I discovered that concerning pokemons I'm closer to Valor values :).
My son still has the account, but from start we played together with mine (I went a bit ahead of him quite early since he is just 9 year old :) ). Right now he only does lvl 10 gym battles like once at 2 weeks, long time poke ak fan, now he enjoys the occasional funkysho videos, and collects from pokestop while driving him to school or while driving to the store in week-end. And catches interesting mons when available :).

Everyone I know from mystic is spoofer or nerd or both xD so i stand with team valor

Valor for so many reasons. Loved the team description, love fire pokemon (Charizard especially), and playing Pokemon Red version at the age of 6 got me hooked on pokemon for life. It just made sense.

Basically, I prefer to side with the underdogs so yeah... Instinct. There are too many Blues plus it really isn't my color. I love color red but I was kinda attracted to the fact that Instinct is lagging behind when it comes to numbers.

I joined Valor simply because all my friends started a week before me, and they went for Valor.

I probably would've gone for Mystic otherwise, but had/have no clear preferences.
