Has anyone tried bubbling?

My 10 hp Krabby for example just went from 26-30 cp to 55-60.

Haven't had a chance to try any of my attackers.

HP didn't change but the defense boost makes me wonder.

My Krabby just goes from 20CP to 37 CP, but my 21 CP Poliwag is now only 18CP. May be I will take an empty gym and try bubbletrating soon.
For attackers, my 10CP Magnemite is now 11CP, 10CP Gastly with Lick is now 12CP.
I will have to collect some appropriate attackers.
