Thoughts on Rhydon (and the new CP)

I'm not sure about the rest of you but I had a Rhydon (1700+ pre-CP adjustments) that I used as my Snorlax killer. He had Rock Smash and Stone Edge. He could do some serious damage to Snorlax when I needed to attack gyms.

With the new CP boost he is sitting at 2500+ and I think he's only level 27.5? maybe? I could take him to level 30 easily along with all my other Rhydons. They are pretty common in my area and I think every gym is going to have Rhydons now.

Not sure what to make of it other than their high CP. Anyone played around with the new CP Rhydon and has anything changed with them? Probably still taken down easily by Vaporeon....

will get wrecked by water types if it is a defender. is a formidable attacker now. I never used my against snorlax. ill have to definitely try that now!

Rock Smash and Stone edge is the key here as Rock Smash is a fighting move. Rhydon's high STA helps him stay in the battle vs Snorlax and I find Stone Edge does some good damage.

If the attacker is not Vaporeon, I think, Rhydon is still going to be able to put on a fight on the back of raw base stats. Mud Shot is a quite strong quick move, while EQ is kinda weird to dodge.
