Tiny rattata medal

I play quite a lot and made good progress with all the medals, except for the tiny rattata one. So this makes me wonder how come other guys have already caught 300 tiny ones.
My record is more than 10'000 poke caught of which 270 are rattatas and 30 tiny. I don't have a GO+.

What is your record and do you use a GO+ or not?

Over 10k caught.

This thread inspired me to go for the rats this morning on my run and caught a ditto in 87-91% range. Still trying to break the 91% barrier.

Got one tiny rat so up to 99. Yippee

I'm only at 111 Magikarp...not even close...

Based on the reports so far:
We run at about 11.5% tiny rats. +/- .5%.

So basically, roughly 1-in-9.

I've been specifically trying to catch more rats lately to try to get this medal. I used to not really bother with rats much but now I try to catch every one.
